The chief executive of Lithuania’s fixed-line telecommunication monopoly Lietuvos Telekomas, Tapio Paarma, informed Prime Minister Algirdas Brazauskas on Aug. 24 that the fixed-line telephone operator will lower certain service rates starting Sep. 1.
