The appointment of Liisa-Ly Pakosta, a former member of parliament with Pro Patria and Res Publica Union background, for Estonia’s next gender equality and equal treatment commissioner has raised eyebrows at Equinet, the European network of equality bodies that consists of 42 institutions from 32 countries including Estonia, the daily Eesti Paevaleht says.
