As Lithuania and the Baltics get ready for the landmark 30th anniversary of the Baltic Way, also known as the Baltic Chain, when during the run-up to the restoration of the independence of all three Baltic nations around two million people joined hands in a human chain spanning 675.5 kilometres (419.7 miles) across the three Baltic states, one witness to the event is very special by all accounts.
